The Paint and Labour Supervisor is responsible for managing the Paint and Labour department trades workers. The Paint and Labour Supervisor reports to the Manager Paint and Labour and works together with operations, project managers and chargehands to plan, Oversee, execute, set priorities and determine staffing requirements within VDC Paint and labour departments. The Paint and Labour Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with shipyard safety, quality, and environment standards, policies and procedures. To ensure standards are met the Paint and Labour Supervisor will regularly check on performance, conduct performance management tasks, including but not limited to disciplining trades employees, manage trade employee timecards, trade employee leave requests and ensuring the collective agreement is applied appropriately.
Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 203 East Esplanade, North Vancouver.

The estimated salary for this position is $106,900 – $128,300. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
