Job Description and Responsibilities

Join Interpro Pipe and Steel as a Lab Supervisor and drive innovation in our quality assurance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of our cutting-edge steel laboratory, ensuring precise testing and analysis to uphold our reputation for excellence.

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of employees working in the lab
• Provide performance feedback, coaching, and training of employees
• Perform calibration and routine maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with operational and quality standards
• Review testing requirements for each product
• Drive continuous improvement, with a focus on safety performance, task time and consumable costs
• Conducts qualification testing with third party inspectors
• Review test results with product specialists to facilitate pipe release

Requirements

• Post secondary education in related field
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with individuals at various levels within the organization
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail, close observation, and concentration skills
• Good knowledge of steel or laboratory processes is an asset
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to learn other software applications
