The Quality Assurance Clerk – 5 Month Limited Term provides administrative support functions to the Quality Assurance Department. The Quality Assurance Clerk will report directly to the Manager, Quality Assurance (QA) or delegate.
Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 825 Admirals Road, Victoria, BC. The role is full-time, but until the successful candidate acquires the appropriate level of security clearance, they cannot perform all duties and accountabilities. As such, they will be limited to a part-time schedule until they are cleared to perform all duties.
What you’ll do
Primary function of role is maintenance of material certification records in certification management software (e.g., MetalTrace)
Security clearance will be required for the following support tasks:
Provide support to the single point of contact for projects (as directed by the Manager QA).
Project database management (e.g., SharePoint data entry and file uploading).
Maintains and retrieves multiple electronic documents from various sources for distribution and hardcopy/softcopy filing/ retention.
Assist with Quality Assurance archives (as required).
Other duties (as required).
What you’ll bring
Grade 12
Diploma or equivalent in Office Administration
2-3 years office experience
Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite
Proficient knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional
Knowledge of SharePoint
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure while being adaptable to change
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize
Work with minimal direction
Strong oral and written communications skills; excellent knowledge of the English language

Pay Starts at $29.07/hour (rate increases to $32.30/hour after the probation period).
This is a unionized position and pay rate for this position are set out in the applicable collective bargaining agreement. The rate stated above is the starting rate for this position. It increases after the probationary period and continues to progress over the course of 12 months as per the collective agreement.
