The Port Engineer, Electrical and Automation has the primary accountability for the maintenance and repair of the electrical and automation aspect of Seaspan Ferries in service vessels including the LNG/Hybrid-electric vessels. Daily work of the Port Engineer, Electrical and Automation will involve responding to and diagnosing engineering problems on board vessels, providing, and implementing repair recommendations, managing/overseeing the planned maintenance program for electrical work, coordinating, and initiating work orders for vessel refits, and providing guidance and mentorship for the shipboard engineers.
Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 7700 Hopcott Road, Delta.

The estimated salary for this position is $104,700 – $125,600. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
