OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to design, develop, and maintain Oracle Forms and Reports to support critical business processes. The successful candidate will have proven expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and a strong understanding of database structures and system interdependencies.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle Forms & Reports interfaces using various controls and validations to ensure user-friendly and efficient applications.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into robust technical specifications.
• Modify, enhance, and optimize existing Oracle Forms applications to improve performance, usability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts and end-users to gather, clarify, and refine system requirements.
• Develop and maintain advanced PL/SQL code including packages, procedures, functions, and assorted database event triggers.
• Interpret and define complex Oracle database schemas, tables, and fields, especially within systems with multiple interdependencies.
• Debug and troubleshoot Oracle Forms & Reports applications and PL/SQL code to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Participate in system integration, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed solutions.
• Ensure application security, data integrity, and compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
• Stay current with Oracle technologies and proactively recommend enhancements or improvements to existing systems.

What Skills / Qualifications You’ll Need to Do the Job:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Oracle Forms Developer, with hands-on expertise in Oracle Forms and Reports (10g, 11g, or higher).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming, including the creation and debugging of complex packages, procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Deep understanding of Oracle databases, including schema analysis and working with systems containing multiple data interdependencies.
• Experience with interpreting and developing database specifications in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX) or other Oracle development tools.
• Knowledge of Java, XML, or other programming languages.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Oracle applications.
