HR Software Analyst

Job Description and Responsibilities

EVRAZ North America has an opening for a HR Software Analyst at our facility in Regina, Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and technically proficient in software development to support and enhance our HR processes. This role will involve working closely with HR teams to improve internal HR systems, troubleshoot issues, generate business reports, and ensure smooth software operation, all while providing excellent customer service to end-users.

• Enhance HR applications to support key HR processes by defining system requirements, providing recommendations and implementing solutions
• Design and develop software databases that facilitate compliance with manual HR processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to internally developed HR databases, ensuring minimal disruption to HR operations
• Collaborate with HR and IT teams to identify system improvements and ensure database performance
• Generate reports and analytics that support HR decision-making, simplify access to data, and support business objectives
• Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and best practices related to HR software and systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Systems Engineering, or HRIS
• 0-2 years of experience in HR software design and deployment
• 1 year of direct HR experience
• Knowledge of key HR processes is a plus (onboarding, corrective action, immigration, etc.)
• Advanced troubleshooting and creative problem solving skills
• Communicate technical concepts in a concise manner to non-technical business partners
• Technical strengths in the following Microsoft technologies:
  • Visual Studio VB / C# / ASP.Net
  • Visual C++
  • C-Sharp
  • Power BI
  • SQL Server and Management Studio
  • Windows Presentation Framework (WPF)
  • Windows Communication Framework (WCF)
  • Reporting Services (SSRS)
