THE OPPORTUNITY

As a DevOps Engineer at Xactly, you’ll be an essential part of the Xactly Engineering organization working with multiple Agile development teams to help integrate DevOps best practices. You will be responsible for building and maintaining tools and automations that will help our development teams deliver software effectively. You will work with production environments and interact with Professional Services, Support and Customer Success to enable our customers to maximize the value of Xactly’s products. You’ll be responsible for taking personal ownership in both your code and others, this includes ensuring proper tests, continuous integration, continuous deployment, infrastructure as code, documentation, and communication.

THE TEAM

All engineers are encouraged to operate independently with a high level of accountability, but also be a team player and work with multiple teams.

THE SKILL SET

• 1-3 years of related DevOps experience
• 2-5 years of working on or with Software Development teams
• A thorough understanding of Agile development and SDLC methodologies
• Experience with automating systems and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Nice to have
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with networking configuration
  • Ability to learn new technologies and philosophies quickly and keep up with trends in software development and extremely hungry to learn
  • Capable of working with teams and self managing your time
  • Willingness to pivot direction frequently to accommodate the needs of the business and changing requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

• Build relationships with development teams and understand their processes
• Gain a strong understanding of Sales Performance Management space and the business challenges Xactly solves

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL

• Have a strong understanding of the business, and begin teaching us a thing or two we don’t know
• Have a thorough understanding of the technologies used by the teams you interact with and be able to suggest improvements and modifications

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL

• Be able to work independently and help increase the velocity of development teams

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL

• Be seen as a well-versed, trusted business-advisor and expert, making a significant positive impact company-wide
